Nielsen Online released intelligence data on US Internet traffic in March 2008.

Highlights include top 10 online brands and audience profile.

Top 10 visited online brands:

Women Outnumber Men Online

This report also showed that more women were online in March 2008 than men. 51.35% of Internet users were female as opposed to 48.65% males.

This report is very revealing in that it shows that an online marketing plan must include catering to women and that the biggest age bracket online is 35-49 years of age. It is also noteworthy that older audience is growing as well.
